Matt Kenseth Wins Pole For Saturday Nights Bank Of America 500

Matt Kenseth will lead the field to green for the 5th time in 2015.His 2nd Consecutive pole as he lead the field to green last weekend in Dover. Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Greg Biffle, and Denny Hamlin rounded out the Top 5 Qualifying Positions.
Martin Truex, 15th place qualifying spot, was the worst qualifying Chaser. Since 45 cars were entered Josh Wise and Timmy Hill were sent home failing to make the 43 car field.

Kyle Busch made laps in 2 cars, 1 in which led first practice. The other was the #18 that Daniel Suarez drives. I guess Daniel wanted a little veteran advice from Kyle. Championship Leader Chris Buescher, Ty Dillon, Kasey Kahne and February Daytona winner Ryan Reed Rounded out the top 5!

Kevin Harvick continued his dominance in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series by pacing the field in First Practice! Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle, Joey Logano, and Kasey Kahne rounded out the Top 5 fastest speeds. Kyle Busch was the farthest back driver in the Chase, he was 21st in First Practice. If qualifying is like Practice Josh Wise and Timmy Hill will DNQ. Of Course Qualifying begins at 7:00 pm ET on NBC Sports Network. Who will lead the field to green on Saturday Night? Throwback Thursday - 2002 UAW-GM Quality 500

In 2002 Jamie McMurry was filling in for the injured Sterling Marlin. It was the 2nd race McMurry was a fill in for Sterling Marlin who was recovering from a neck injury. McMurry would lead just 96 laps on his way to his first NASCAR Winston Cup Series (Now known as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series) Win. He would defeat drivers like Bobby Labonte, Tony Stewart who would later win the Championship, Jeff Gordon, and Rusty Wallace.
Since that race Jamie McMurry would win 6 more races and qualify for the chase in 2015! He would be eliminated after the 1st round.
