What Would Happen If Sunday's Race Was Postponed

As many of you know Fridays on track activity at Dover International Speedway was cancelled due to hard rain. Of Course you should also know a Hurricane is coming somewhere. Now with about the same weather in the forecast on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday many fans are beginning to question what would happen if the race this weekend was to be postponed to a later date. Of course this weekend is a elimination race for the Chase For The Sprint Cup Series Championship. Below is what reported and this is what the NASCAR Rule book says.
-"The answer lies in the NASCAR rule
book, which states that four drivers will be eliminated from the postseason after the 29th race of the season. If Dover were to get postponed, and if the scheduled Oct. 10 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway takes place as scheduled, then the Charlotte event would be the 29th race of the season and therefore act as the final race of the Challenger Round." -
So That would mean The Fates of drivers like Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jamie McMurry, Kyle Busch, and Clint Bowyer will have to wait another week to be resolved. Sorry guys another sleepless night may be coming for you guys. (Koelle, 2015)

Elliott Sadler to JR Motorsports in 2016

Elliott Sadler and Dale Earnhardt Jr. announced that Elliott would be driving for JR Motorsports in 2016. Longtime Sadler sponsor One Main Financial will be following Sadler to JR Motosports in 2016. The Xfinity Series veteran has made at least one Series start in 18 seasons, recording 10 wins, 66 top fives, 144 top 10s and 16 poles. Sadler finished second in the championship standings in 2011 and 2012, and currently sits sixth in the points headed into this weekend's race at Dover International Speedway. Sadler has spent this season with Roush Fenway Racing. This marks the fifth team Sadler has joined since the 2011 season, when he competed for Kevin Harvick Inc. His journey has taken him from Kevin Harvick Inc. to Richard Childress Racing (2012), Joe Gibbs Racing (2013-2014), Roush Fenway and now JR Motorsports. I predict Elliott will be taking over another Elliotts ride. Chase Elliott that is. I predict to see Elliott Sadler driving the #9 One Main Financial Chevrolet Camaro. (Koelle, 2015)

Clint Bowyer To HScott Motorsports in 2016

It wasn't a rainy day for Clint Bowyer as he and Harry Scott Jr. announced that Clint Bowyer will drive for HScott Motorsports in 2016 for one season while Tony Stewart runs his Retirement Tour in 2016. Of course earlier this week Clint Bowyer announced with Tony Stewart that Bowyer would drive the #14 in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2015! With alliance from Stewart Haas Racing, HScott Motorsports main goal for 2016 will be to win races and contend for a championship in 2016! I personally am a fan of HScott Motorsports and Clint Bowyer and I am absolutely excited to see HScott Motorsports in the Headlines where hopefully it will stay! I have not heard of who will be his crew chief in 2016 but there are 3 Major Crew Chiefs that as of October 2nd will be free agents in 2016! Brian Pattie and Billy Scott Jr. who are being released as part of Michael Waltrip Racing Shutdown that also affected Clint Bowyer. Also available is Leavine Family Racing's Former Crew Chief Wally Rogers who I think would be a good fit for Clint Bowyer! Now the other question is where will Justin Algaier end up if Clint runs a full season in the #51? Be sure to come back for updates on this story! (Koelle, 2015)

AAA 400 at Dover Starting Lineup

Since rain cancelled Qualifying The lineup will be set via The  Top 36 in owners points. Spots 37-43 set by race attempts (with ties broken by owner points). Matt Kennseth will lead them to green Hopefully on Sunday. Since only 43 Cars entered no one will be sent home. Sunday could ultimately turn into a real wild card with the chance of rain tomorrow. I know drivers really need a practice session tomorrow and they definitely don't want the Xfinity Series race to be rained out and moved to Sunday After the cup race. This also could be very interesting as the Top 16 in the chase are the 1-16 on the Starting Lineup.

Rain Cancels Friday On Track Activity

NASCAR announced this morning that all on track activity would be cancelled due to inclement weather which also cancelled NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Qualifying. Be looking for the Starting Lineup for this weekends AAA 400 at Dover later today. With Hurricane Joaquin wanting to get a little glimpse of the racing action at Dover International Raceway It didn't notice that if it came by the Hurricane wouldn't get to see any of the on track action with the exception of the Air Titan 400. NASCAR Set the starting order via the rule book for both the AAA 400 and The Hisense 200 pitting Matt Kennseth on the pole for the NSCS Race and Ryan Blaney on the pole for the NXS Race! Now Las Vegas on the other hand is sunny and nice. Be sure to look here for all updates! (Koelle,2015)
