Brad Keselowski Wins A Wild Kobalt 400!

Brad Keselowski survived Heavy Winds, Periodic Rains, A Sandstorm, and Kyle Busch to return to Gatorade Victory Lane for the first time since Auto Club in 2015. On a final restart, Brad and teammate Joey Logano fought for the 2nd place spot and battled for who would go and challenge Kyle Busch. Kyle Busch had a terrible vibration which caused him to slow. With Brad Keselowski heavy on his heels Kyle did everything he could do to keep the Blanco Deuce behind him. Those efforts would come up short which would then have Brad dominate the last few laps and en route to his 2nd win at Las Vegas. Joey Logano held his end of the bargain giving Roger Penske another one-two finish. Jimmie Johnson finish third followed by Kyle Busch, and Austin Dillon. Those drivers rounded out the Top 5. Contenders Chase Elliott and Matt Kenseth who were front runners majority of the day were involved in a wreck at lap 224. Matt Kenseth continues a 3 week streak of bad finishes that were looking to change.

NASCAR News Source Driver of The Week

After getting a speeding ticket leaving pit road Brad Keselowski was relegated to the back of the pack. Brad showed how good he was at Vegas and was back in the contender spot just in time to take the victory at Las Vegas defeating Hometown Driver Kyle Busch. Brad continues to show he is championship caliber yet again, Could this be the year the #2 car gets Championship #2? We will just have to find out! Congratulations to Brad on winning Vegas and becoming the newest Driver of The Week joining Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch!

Next Weekend

As we head to the median race of the West Coast Swing we look back to 2015 where heavy rains soaked Phoenix. Let's hope we got all of the rain storms and sandstorms over this weekend and head to a sunny and clear Phoenix International Raceway. One of my personal favorite tracks for the Good Sam 500. Kevin Harvick is the odds on favorite and well the odds on favorite won today in Las Vegas. We look forward to the Phoenix Race this weekend!
