Joey Logano was able to pull a great lap during the final round of qualifying on Friday (October 19th) to pick up his 20th career pole. With the pole, Logano now continues his streak of years with at least one pole to nine years. Logano turned a 191.646 mph (28.177-seconds) lap around the Kansas Speedway to put his No. 22 on the pole.
The last two winners at Kansas have started on the pole. Logano has only won three times from the pole, none of which coming at Kansas. Logano won from the pole at Pocono in 2012 and at Michigan in 2013 and 2016. The last time Logano started from the pole at Kansas, he finished the race in fifth.
May winner Kevin Harvick will start from the second position on Sunday. Talladega winner Aric Almirola will start third while Ryan Blaney and Brad Keselowski rounded out the top five.
