Jeb Burton Running Double-Duty at Martinsville

As we announced on Tuesday, Jeb Burton will be running Saturday's Texas Roadhouse 200 with On Point Motorsports. Burton will also make his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series return piloting the No. 51 Jacob Companies Ford Fusion for Rick Ware Racing per the entry list meaning Burton will run double-duty.

It will be Burton's 31st start in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and first since 2016. In those 30 previous starts, Burton has the best start of 29th at Michigan in 2015 with BK Racing. His best career finish in the Cup Series came at Martinsville in 2015 where he finished the race in 27th.

Burton becomes Rick Ware Racing's 15th different driver to pilot an entry for RWR. It'll be the 68th race for the organization in the Cup Series and fourth at Martinsville Speedway. Harrison Rhodes piloted the No. 51 at Martinsville in the spring to a 35th place finish. Justin Marks picked up the organizations best career finish earlier this year of 12th place in the Daytona 500. The teams best finish at Martinsville came in April of 2017 where Timmy Hill finished 33rd. (Koelle,2018)
