Kyle Busch had to start from the rear of the field after unapproved adjustments following Friday's qualifying session. To most that would be a huge punishment but to Busch, that was a challenge. Busch pushed his way through the field but just seemed to get stuck in 10th. Busch was able to make some adjustments, in the end, to earn his 50th career victory in the Cup Series.
Kevin Harvick was making a run for the victory but ran out of time earning his fourth second-place finish of 2018. Martin Truex Jr. had dominated the first half of the race-winning both stages. After winning the second stage, an uncontrolled tire put them behind the eight ball. Truex powered his way through the field and earned a third-place finish.
Chase Elliott finished the race in fourth while Aric Almirola rounded out the top-five.

With the victory, Kyle Busch is immune from the Roval. That is something only Busch and Brad Keselowski can say which is something the other 14 drivers really wish they had. The unknown of the Charlotte Roval is now looming. Martin Truex Jr. (+85) is locked into the next round no matter what happens next weekend while Kevin Harvick (+57) has a rather solid bubble over the cutoff.
Ryan Blaney currently holds the final transfer spot with a +4 points cushion. Clint Bowyer (-4), Jimmie Johnson (-6), Erik Jones (-21), and Denny Hamlin (-29) are currently 13th-16th as the series heads to Charlotte.
The Bank of America ROVAL 400 will air live on NBC on Sunday, September 30th at 2 p.m. ET. First practice is slated for Friday, September 28th at 12:05 p.m.ET on NBCSN.
