SPARTA, Ky. - As the XFINITY Series inches closer and closer to the beginning of the playoffs, the contenders will begin to take a front row seat to see who's a pretender and who's a contender. It seems like on Saturday night at the Kentucky Speedway, two of our championship contenders stepped up to the plate with Christopher Bell taking the upper hand and victory in the ALSCO 300.
Bell and Daniel Hemric battled throughout the final laps of the race after both had to make the pass on Kyle Busch, the guy who dominated the race. Busch ended up finishing the race in third, his second to the final race in the XFINITY Series of the season (Bristol is his final).
Justin Allgaier and pole sitter Cole Custer rounded out the top-five results.
