Justin Allgaier had to battle with teammate Elliott Sadler late in the race but when it came to crossing the finish line, Allgaier was in front of the No. 1 earning his first victory and first Dash4Cash bonus of 2018. Both JR Motorsports teammates were battling for the bonus but when the question arose on what would happen when two teammates would battle for the Dash4Cash bonus, the answer was exactly what the fans wanted. A side-by-side battle in the exit of turn four resulted in both cars making light contact with the outside wall. The two would approach the finish line single file with Allgaier ultimately coming out in front.
Sadler would finish the race in second while Daniel Hemric, Christopher Bell, and Tyler Reddick rounded out the top five.
The race was slowed by cautions a total of eight times for 45 laps. There were 11 lead changes among seven drivers. Elliott Sadler continues to lead XFINITY Series points by 33 points over Allgaier. With the victory, Allgaier punches his ticket to the playoffs making it now three drivers locked in (Tyler Reddick and Christopher Bell).
The XFINITY Series takes the next two weekends off while the MENCS and NCWTS head to Kansas next weekend and Charlotte the following. XFINITY returns to action at Charlotte on Memorial Day Weekend for the Alsco 300.
