Johnny Sauter held off Kyle Busch to earn his third victory of the 2018 season. Sauter led a race-high 71 laps en-route to the victory while Busch will have to wait to seek victory No. 51 until July at Pocono.
"Pure talent. That's about it. My pit crew did absolutely nothing to help me out tonight. My truck drove like s***." said Busch when asked about how he managed to finish second during the post-race media availability. The action didn't stop there as Busch continued to twitter to defend himself against trolls, naysayers, and just "bashers" as he calls them.
Brandon Jones came home in third followed by Brett Moffitt and Ben Rhodes.
The race was slowed by caution seven times for 36 laps. There were 11 lead changes among seven drivers. As noted above, Sauter led the most laps of the race at 71. Brett Moffitt won the first stage while John Hunter Nemechek won stage two.
Johnny Sauter is the points leader, 59 points over Noah Gragson who is second. Brett Moffitt is third while Ben Rhodes and Grant Enfinger round out the top five in points.
Next up the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series heads to the Texas Motor Speedway for a double hitter with the Verizon IndyCar Series. That race takes place on June 8th at 9 p.m. ET and can be seen on FOX Sports 1. (Koelle,2018)
