Michael McDowell spun on lap nine collecting Chase Elliott, Martin Truex Jr., and AJ Allmendinger. Following a strong weekend in practice and qualifying, McDowell was sidelined and is scored in 38th, out of the race.
The second big accident of the afternoon when Trevor Bayne and Chris Buescher piled up blocking the track leaving Jamie McMurray, Harrison Rhodes, and the race leader at the time Ryan Blaney. Blaney had led 100 of the first 117 laps. His day would be over.
The on-track action is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET on Monday on FOX. The Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90 will broadcast the race live. Last season's race was completely postponed to Monday, Jimmie Johnson would hold off Clint Bowyer for his second of three victories from last season.
