Brendan Gaughan & Beard Motorsports Return at Talladega

As expected, Brendan Gaughan and Beard Motorsports will make their return this weekend at the Talladega Superspeedway. Gaughan will pilot the No. 62 Beard Oil Distributing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 on Sunday in the GEICO 500. It will be his first race since his amazing run in the Daytona 500 that was cut short by the final "big one".

The start on Sunday will be his 56th start in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Gaughan earned his best career finish of fourth at Talladega in 2004 driving for Team Penske. He has four starts at the Talladega Superspeedway over the course of his career in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Gaughan competed in both races at Talladega last season with Beard Motorsports with a best finish of 19th last October where he even led six laps. (Koelle,2018)
