The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series returns to action following a weekend off to celebrate Easter. This should be the race that begins to form the rest of the season based on the notes teams took during the first five races, excluding Martinsville being as it's not really an aerodynamic important track. Stewart Haas Racing won the last race at Texas in November when Kevin Harvick punched his ticket to the championship four.
Jimmie Johnson is the defending race winner of the O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 which was his first of three victories in 2017. Hendrick Motorsports has been slightly off so far this season and the real tell-tell story will be whether or not they took the right notes over the last five races of the season.
Here is the entry list for Sunday's O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway.
