K-LOVE Radio Makes First Appearance in 2018 at ISM Raceway

K-LOVE Radio will make its season debut on the No. 34 Ford Fusion this weekend at ISM Raceway in the TicketGuardian 500. K-LOVE follows driver Michael McDowell from Leavine Family Racing to sponsor him beginning this weekend in Phoenix. K-LOVE is a Christian Music radio station that is broadcasted to over 12 million listeners in cities all across the United States. K-LOVE is the sixth-most streamed online-streamed station in the world delivering positive and encouraging music.

“Sometimes sponsors come and go in racing, but I’m really proud that my relationship with K-LOVE has been a long-term one,” McDowell said in the team release. “Wherever I’m traveling, whether I’m having a good day or a bad day, K-LOVE is there – on the radio or online – with positive and encouraging music. I’m grateful for that, and I’m grateful for K-LOVE’s support throughout my career.”

The Christian Music station returns with McDowell for the sixth season in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. 2018 will be the eighth year K-LOVE has sponsored McDowell in some form or fashion as they sponsored him in the XFINITY Series in 2010. K-LOVE will sponsor McDowell in five races this season beginning this weekend at Phoenix.

“K-LOVE’s ongoing partnership with Michael McDowell has been exciting, to say the least," said K-LOVE’s CEO Mike Novak. "NASCAR fans are so loyal to Michael and to K-LOVE, and for that we are thankful. And now to partner with Front Row Motorsports, we can’t wait to get 2018 started. See you at the races.”

The trip to ISM Raceway is a homecoming race for McDowell as he is from Glendale, Arizona. In 14 starts at ISM Raceway, McDowell has the best start of 12th in 2010. His best finish came last November when he finished 22nd. A blown engine at Las Vegas dropped McDowell from 15th in points down to 20th. (Koelle,2018)
