Jeffrey Earnhardt to Make Daytona 500 Debut

It will be the first time since the Daytona 500 on February 18th, 2001 that two Earnhardt's will be entered with Jeffrey Earnhardt announcing he will compete in the 59th Annual Daytona 500 later this month with Circle Sport TMG driving the #33 Chevrolet SS.

During the off-season it was announced that Joe Falk and Curtis Key Sr. had combined teams so that The Motorsports Group could gain a charter to use in the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Starting off the season with Circle Sport TMG will be the Grandson of Dale Earnhardt Sr., Jeffrey Earnhardt. Earnhardt will pilot the #33 Chevrolet SS in the season opening race at Daytona.
Overseeing Earnhardt's Debut in the Daytona 500 will be veteran crew chief Pat Tryson. Tryson has overseen 541 starts in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series gaining 8 victories, 62 Top-5's, 132 Top-10's, and 3 poles. Tryson made his crew chief debut in 1997 with Geoff Bodine in the 1997 Daytona 500 and has a best finish of 2nd twice in The Great American Race with Elliott Sadler back in 2002 and again with Kurt Busch in 2008.
