After a dominating performance last weekend in Talladega with Grant Enfinger, Timothy Peters found himself into the next round of the Chase which came unexpected to many.
After Chicago, Timothy Peters was really wrote off. Peters hasn't won yet in 2016 and made the chase on points which is why many wrote him off. Peters made it through Talladega, with a rather spectacular showing but it came to no surprise. Now that Peters has made this round, I feel Peters has to be one of the favorites to be in the final four at Homestead.

In this round, Peters has had the most success in the section of the season then any other of the season. In 2012, when Peters finished 2nd in points to James Buescher, this is the part of the season that helped keep him in the hunt. The next four tracks are where Peters has tallied a majority of his wins. His first came at Martinsville way back in 2009, his only victory at the Paper Clip in Martinsville, VA. In the last five races at the Texas Motor Speedway, Peters has a 12th place average finish which is the lowest of the final races in the Season. Last season Timothy Peters was able to pull a hat trick at Phoenix to gain his first victory there, Peters also has a 10th place average finish. Then finally at Homestead is where Peters has had his second best average finish other than Talladega. A 4th place average finish is what could have Peters hoisting the Trophy over his head come Homestead. (Koelle,2016)
