NSCS Martinsville Practice Report

Second Practice Results from Martinsville

Jamie McMurray paced the first practice of Saturday with a speed of 96.780 mph. Joey Logano was the fastest Chaser of the eight drivers in this practice finishing 2nd, while Kevin Harvick, 13th, was the slowest of the eight. David Ragan continued his momentum from Qualifying in this practice finishing 3rd. Martin Truex Jr. and AJ Allmendinger rounded out the Top-5. Jeffrey Earnhardt and Dylan Lupton were the slowest. Kurt Busch(37) and Brian Scott(32) turned the most laps in the session. Martin Truex Jr. had the fastest 10-Lap Average along with Tony Stewart, Jamie McMurray, Kyle Larson and finally a chaser in Jimmie Johnson.

Final Practice Results

Kyle Larson was able to take the fastest speed in two of the three practice sessions held at the Martinsville Speedway. Tony Stewart finished second, Paul Menard third, David Ragan fourth, and Chaser Kyle Busch rounded out the Top-5 fastest speeds in Final Practice. The #30 of Gray Gaulding and #32 of Jeffrey Earnhardt were the slowest of the cars who went out. Denny Hamlin ran 99 laps, the most of any drivers. Kyle Larson not only had the fastest time in Final Practice but he also had the fastest 10-Lap average while Chaser Kyle Busch had the second fastest 10-Lap average and the fastest of all the Chasers.
