The Motorsports News Source NASCAR Driver of The Week

Being called to action a day before the race weekend, Alex Bowman had a very impressive and solid weekend that was sadly ended with Tire issues. Alex Bowman was the fill in that Dale Earnhardt Jr. needed and Bowman had a rather consistent day. He was able to stay within the Top-15 for a vast majority of the day and was able to keep calm despite having all the pressure behind him. Bowman is certainly showing what needs to be done and despite not having a full ride to his name, part time isn't bad because it is better than nothing. We congratulate Alex Bowman on becoming The newest Motorsports News Source NASCAR Driver of The Week.

Next Race for The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to hallowed ground this weekend as they head to Indianapolis for the Brickyard 400. Chase Elliott along with many other drivers will look for redemption in the point standings with very little time remaining. The big story heading to Indianapolis will be that a familiar face could come out of retirement to fill in for Dale Earnhardt Jr. if needed. That name is Jeff Gordon who could be looking for his 6th Brickyard 400 victory. That story will be updated as the week progresses.
