NASCAR News Source Driver of The Week
AJ Allmendinger did everything he needed to do today to be in the running for the Victory at the end. Despite not landing the Win, Allmendinger improved over much of his 2016 performance. When it comes to drivers who can drive tracks like these very well, tracks like Watkins Glen. Allmendinger almost found himself in victory lane for the 2nd time of his career but it came short. A win is coming soon for this one car team and I feel Sonoma is a pretty big chance! Also don't forget Bristol, another short track. Also want to shout out Michael McDowell and Circle Sport Leavine Family Racing, Technical teammates of AJ Allmendinger's on their 24th place finish.
NASCAR Pick 4 (First Point to......)
Ryan Newman finished 10th just nudging Joey Logano for the first Pick 4 Point of the Season. Be sure to tune in later this week to see who is eligible for the Pick 4 at Texas!
