It took 17 attempts but Kyle Larson finally earned his first victory at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. Larson held off Christopher Bell and Justin Allgaier in NASCAR overtime to seal his fourth victory of 2018. As rain began to fall in Bristol, the race was winding down. A caution as Larson was coming to the white flag when Daniel Hemric spun and hit the inside wall putting out the caution and set up that overtime finish.
Bell had one of the best cars and was threatening for the lead but Bell just didn't have it in the end finishing second while Justin Allgaier, Cole Custer, and Joey Logano rounded out the top five.
Kyle Busch had the dominant car early leading the first 69 laps but when the No. 18 scraped the outside wall, his car ultimately broke resulting in the car bouncing off the wall ending his night and finishing his 2018 XFINITY Series season.
