Brad Keselowski Earns Runner Up Finish Since Atlanta

Brad Keselowski was able to benefit on Austin Dillon's tire going down as he took the second position. Despite not earning the victory, it's still his first front row finish since Atlanta in February. The run for not just Keselowski but for the entire Penske organization has to have the team optimistic as they head to one of their best tracks. It didn't come easy for Keselowski though.

“We kind of clawed all day and had some good restarts with the Discount Tire Ford and got all we could get out of it but just ended up one spot short and that is so frustrating.”

Keselowski leaves his home track with a second place finish for the second time in 18 starts. The home track victory is still elusive for Keselowski and will have to wait until next season. He now heads to a track where he has been good at in the past. That is Bristol.

Keselowski has two victories and one runner-up finish but the last time that happened was in August of 2014. The luck hasn't been there for Keselowski as of late as he's finished outside the top-20 four of the last five races. He has qualified inside the top-10 11 times in 17 races there so if the team can put everything in the right places, Keselowski could earn his third Bristol victory. (Koelle,2018)
