The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns this weekend at the Kentucky Speedway after one weekend off while the Cup and XFINITY Series race in Daytona. With just five races remaining in the NCWTS regular season, many drivers will look to make a statement on Thursday by earning the victory and a spot in the playoffs. With four spots remaining, one driver with a victory could be on the outside looking in by the time the playoffs start when the series goes up north to Canada.
The last time the trucks raced was at Chicagoland Speedway two weeks ago. Brett Moffitt picked up the victory, his third of the 2018 season.
Christopher Bell is the defending race winner of the event but will not defend it on Thursday as he's moved up to the XFINITY Series. The 2016 winner has moved up to the Cup Series in the form of William Byron. In fact, Matt Crafton is the only defending race winner entered in Thursday's race.
