Zane Smith Making NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Debut at Gateway

ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards championship contender  Zane Smith will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Gateway this weekend driving for DGR-Crosley Racing. Smith will pilot the No. 54 Crosley Brands / LaPaz Margarita Mix Toyota Tundra. David Gilliland piloted the truck to a fourth-place finish last weekend at Iowa.

"Honestly, I'm pumped for my Truck Series debut," said Smith. "I got a text, and we pretty much did everything in a day to get all the approvals and everything we needed to do. My goal is to put together a solid race and make the most of this opportunity with DGR-Crosley. Hopefully, we will be contending for a win at the end, but just to have a shot is all you can ask for. Thank you to all the people that support me and make this possible: LaPaz Margarita Mix, SpeedVegas, Icon Vehicle Dynamics Ultra Wheel and Crosley Brands. This is a dream come true to continue moving up the ladder."

So far this season, five drivers have piloted the No. 54 entry for DGR-Crosley Racing. Kyle Benjamin earned the teams best finish of second at Martinsville by finishing second while David Gilliland has finished fourth twice.

In nine ARCA starts this season, Smith has secured three victories, seven top-fives and top-tens. He earned his first career victory at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in April and has since continued to lead the standings. He's also a member of NASCAR NEXT and will make his first national series start on Saturday. (Koelle,2018)
