Brett Moffitt Steals Third Victory of 2018 at Chicagoland

It was all John Hunter Nemechek's race on Friday but when the fuel tank went empty, Brett Moffitt blasted past Nemechek and earned his third victory of 2018.

Ben Rhodes finished the race in second, his best finish since his victory last season at Las Vegas. Johnny Sauter, Noah Gragson, and Brandon Jones rounded out the top five.

Earlier in the week, Brett Moffit and team were on the verge of missing Chicago due to lack of funding but when Fr8Auctions jumped on board, as noted here on The Motorsports News Source, the team is covered for the next two races.

There were six cautions for 29 laps while there were 17 lead changes amongst 6 drivers. The Truck series takes the weekend off while the Cup and XFINITY series races in Daytona. The trucks return for a rare Thursday night race at Kentucky for the Buckle Up in Your Truck 225.
