Hixson Motorsports Seeking Strong Performance in Nashville

Soddy Daisy, Tennessee based Hixson Motorsports is seeking strong finishes out of their two cars on Saturday in Nashville. ARCA Racing Series veteran Eric Caudell will make his 31st start on Saturday behind the wheel of the No. 2 Caudell Consulting & Marketing Dodge Charger. Joe Cooksey makes his return to the series for the first time since DuQuoin last season. He'll pilot the No. 3 Hot 2 Go Pizza Subs & More Ford Fusion for the organization in his 142nd start in the Series.

In 30 starts in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Caudell has the best finish of 14th at Springfield in 2016 with Hixson Motorsports. In his last start, Caudell finished 23rd after starting 24th at Kansas in the season finalie. He earned a career best 10th place finish in the points standings completing all 20 events on the schedule. He has a best finish of 22nd at Fairgrounds Speedway that he secured last season.

Cooksey made his ARCA Racing Series debut back in 1996 at Salem, he finished 22nd. In 1999, he earned his best career finish in the series of a second at Flat Rock Speedway in Flat Rock, Michigan. Recently the driver from Centralia, IL has been racing the dirt track races for Hixson Motorsports. He finished eighth last season at DuQuoin and 12th at Illinois State Fairgrounds.

In 608 starts as an owner, Wayne Hixson has the best finish of second at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in 2009 with Ron Cox. Nine top-five's and 52 top-ten's highlight his career as an owner. (Koelle,2018)
