Harrison Burton to Pilot MDM Motorsports Entry in Nashville

Harrison Burton will make his return to the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards on Saturday in the Music City 200. The 2017 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Champion will pilot the No. 12 DEX Imaging Toyota Camry for MDM Motorsports. He will team with Chase Purdy, Sheldon Creed, and Zane Smith on Saturday where he will compete for the third time in the series.

In two starts in ARCA, Burton has one victory and a third-place finish. His first and only victory in the ARCA Racing Series came at Toledo last season with the MDM Motorsports organization. Burton is coming off of an eighth-place finish in the Alpha Energy Solutions 250 at Martinsville Speedway two weeks ago in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with Kyle Busch Motorsports. Burton has eight starts in the NCWTS and has the best finish of fourth at Martinsville last October.

Though it will be Burton's first start in the ARCA Racing Series at Nashville, it won't be the first time he's raced at Nashville in a stock car. Burton competed in the 2014 All American 400 where he finished 12th after starting 29th. NASCAR legend Jeff Burton, who is Harrison's father, competed at the Fairgrounds Speedway once in his career in 1989. Burton finished 11th in the Granger Select 200 XFINITY Series event in Nashville that season. (Koelle,2018)
