Chevrolet has Work Cut Out for Continuing Nashville Dominance

Chevrolet has won the last four editions of the Music City 200 at Fairgrounds Speedway and on Sunday they will look to make it number five. The manufactuere is four-for-four in attempts at Nashville, most recently winning with Chad Finley last season. Since its return to the series in 2015, Grant Enfinger and Josh Williams both took victories behind the wheel of the bowtie brand. Both of those drivers have moved up to NASCAR's top-three divisions with Enfinger in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with ThorSport Racing and Williams in the NASCAR XFINITY Series with Mario Gosselin.

On Saturday, Chevrolet has seven drivers entered in the Music City 200. Bret Holmes, Gus Dean, Ryan Repko, Thad Moffitt lead the charge for the bowtie as they search for their fifth straight victory in five races at Nashville. Holmes and Dean competed in full-seasons last season for their teams while Ryan Repko made his debut last season at Madison. "The King" Richard Petty's grandson Thad Moffitt makes his fourth start in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. Tovia Grynewicz, Darrell Basham, and D.L. Wilson also represent the bowtie brand.

The battle to continue the streak will be tough for Chevrolet as both Toyota and Ford bring strong cars and drivers to the program including the most recent winner in the series Michael Self with Venturini Motorsports and Toyota. Any of those seven drivers could land the fifth straight victory for Chevrolet and continue the dominance of the bowtie. (Koelle,2018)
