The Power Of Social Media Will Be Evident in Matt DiBenedetto at ISM Raceway

On Tuesday Morning Matt DiBenedetto went to social media in search of financial support to run Sunday's TicketGuardian 500 at ISM Raceway. For a small team like GoFas Racing, these long trips are a struggle to even make, let alone be competitive. Later on Tuesday though, multiple members of the NASCAR community showed how much of a family the sport is.

Denny Hamlin donated $5,000 out of his own pocket to help DiBenedetto race on Sunday. Following Hamlin included Kevin Harvick who through KHI Management will sponsor the No. 32 Ford Fusion. Darrell Waltrip also offered to put the Waltrip Brothers Golf Charity Championship as a sponsor. The support from the NASCAR family led to primary, secondary, and associate sponsorship for the No. 32.

Zynga Poker, Enlisted Nine Fight Company, and Pit Stops for Hope helped fill out the sponsorship for Sunday's TicketGuardian 500.

"ISM Raceway is definitely one of my favorite racetracks that we go to," DiBenedetto said in the press release. "We've always had strong race cars there in the past, and I think we'll have another great one with Randy this weekend. The guys have obviously we had such a crazy week with everything that happened. The outpouring of support we got from the NASCAR community, and beyond, was beyond words. I don't really know how I can ever thank these folks enough - from all of the drivers and teams who offered to help to Zynga Poker, Enlisted Nine, and Pit Stops for Hope all stepped up to give us a fully sponsored racecar for Phoenix. I can't wait to get this car on the track!"

In six starts at ISM Raceway, DiBenedetto has the best finish of 20th in 2016. His average finish is a 27th and average start of a 30th. (Koelle,2018)
