Martin Truex Jr. Speeds to Pole for TicketGuardian 500(k)

Martin Truex Jr. turned the fastest lap in the final round to secure his first pole of the 2018 season. The defending series champion turned a 136.945 mph. lap (26.288-second) around the ISM Raceway to earn his 16th career pole. Kyle Larson qualified second followed by Chase Elliott, Alex Bowman, and Joey Logano.

Jimmie Johnson was fastest in the first round but didn't back it up in the second round, he'll start 17th on Sunday. Defending race winner Ryan Newman just barely missed the final round and will start 13th.
