Kyle Larson Dominates en-route to Victory in Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas

Kyle Larson led 142 laps to earn his first victory of the 2018 season. The afternoon started off with Christopher Bell earning his second straight pole but he wouldn't lead the first lap as Larson made a pass on the first lap.

Despite only leading six laps in the race on Saturday, Bell still finished second. The second place finish was his second straight top-five finish after he finished third last weekend at Atlanta.

Two out of the remaining three drivers who filled the top five were XFINITY Regulars with the JR Motorsports teammates Justin Allgaier and Elliott Sadler finishing third and fifth. Ryan Blaney finished fourth after leading 33 laps, the second most of the field.

The race was slowed by caution six times for 29 laps. Two big incidents highlighted the race with Dylan Lupton hitting the inside wall just off the exit of pit road on lap 7 and on lap 135 the No. 60 of Austin Cindric spun and made contact with the inside wall.

There were a total of 10 lead changes among six drivers during the event. (Total Laps Led: Kyle Larson - 142, Ryan Blaney - 33, Justin Allgaier - 12, Christopher Bell - 6, Cole Custer - 4, and Tyler Reddick - 3)
