Kevin Harvick Seeking History on Sunday at Auto Club

Kevin Harvick is seeking to make history on Sunday by becoming only the ninth driver of the modern era to win four races in a row. Harvick has won the last three weekends, dominating two of them.

The last time a driver won more than three races in a row was in 2007 when Jimmie Johnson won Martinsville, Atlanta, Texas, and Phoenix. Those four race wins were en-route to his second championship in the series.

“Auto Club Speedway is by far one of my favorite tracks we go to," Harvick said in the team release. "This is top three on my list as far as tracks that I’m excited to go to, just for the fact that the asphalt is so worn out. It is very similar to Atlanta in a much different shape of a racetrack. It’s a very unique racetrack because it is so wide and you have so many options to run all over the racetrack."

Harvick has three career victories at Auto Club Speedway amongst the four touring series. He won in the Auto Club 400 in 2011, XFINITY Series race in 2015, and NASCAR K&N Pro Series West in 1998. (Koelle,2018)
