Gaunt Brothers Racing Returning with DJ Kennington at Phoenix

Gaunt Brothers Racing will make their Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series non-restrictor plate track debut this weekend in Sunday's race at Phoenix. The organization earned their best career finish last month in the Daytona 500 with DJ Kennington finishing 24th. Kennington will return to pilot the No. 96 Northern Provincial Pipelines (N.P.P.) Toyota Camry.

“I’m thrilled to be back with GBR, in the Northern Provincial Pipelines Toyota Camry, at a track I really enjoy,” said Kennington. “Last month in Daytona was a tremendous experience. I got my best Cup finish to date, and now I’m looking for more.”

Northern Provincial Pipelines sponsored Kennington in his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series debut back in 2016 where he finished 35th driving for Premium Motorsports. The relationship between Kennington and N.P.P dates back to 2008 NASCAR Pinty's Series season where N.P.P sponsored the No. 17 entry.

“It’s an honor to once again partner with D.J. and join forces with a reputable Canadian company in Northern Provincial Pipelines,” said Gaunt. “We look forward to a successful weekend both on and off the track with N.P.P.” (Koelle,2018)
