Dawson Cram Earns Retribution at Martinsville

The last time Dawson Cram came to Martinsville Speedway was last October. The Mooresville, North Carolina native attempted to make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut. He piloted the No. 11 Bojangles' Chevrolet Silverado for Cram Racing Enterprises but his dream was set aside after his engine let go during one of the practice sessions.

On Monday, Cram's dream came true as the driver made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut driving for Beaver Motorsports. Not only did he get the chance to make his debut but he was also given the chance to earn redemption from that engine failure last October.

Cram earned that redemption finishing 17th after qualifying 28th. The 16-year old driver put on an impressive performance on Monday but that isn't anything new. For those who haven't heard of Cram the driver won the INEX Bandolero Division Championship in 2010, his rookie season. Cram has been tearing it up in those series and the debut in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is just the next step on the NASCAR ladder. We can expect to hear more about Dawson Cram in the near future. (Koelle,2018)
