Tom Hessert Returns with Venturini Motorsports for Daytona

ARCA Racing Series veteran Tom Hessert will return to the ARCA Racing Series this season, Venturini Motorsports confirmed on Tuesday. Last seen at Salem last season, Hessert will pilot the No. 55 US Turf Equipment Toyota Camry.

“Experience plays a big role in success at superspeedways like Daytona and Talladega,” Hessert said in the press release. “Knowing how to work the draft can be the difference between winning or losing. Plate (restrictor-plate) racing is the greatest equalizer. It’s also the greatest unknown – anything can happen and anyone can win. It takes a good car and sometimes a little luck.”

2017 was the first time Hessert didn't run a full schedule in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards since 2012. Hessert competed in 5 of the 20 races last season securing a season-best finish of fifth in Daytona. In ten starts at the "World's Center of Racing", he has the best finish of fourth in 2014. Hessert has tallied six victories in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards including one at Talladega, the other superspeedway on ARCA's schedule.

There is no word on the schedule Hessert has in place for the 2018 season following Saturday's race in Daytona. (Koelle,2018)
