Natalie Decker Earns First Career Pole at Daytona

Natalie Decker became only the third woman in ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards history to win a pole. Decker earned her first career pole on Friday and will start the race alongside Zane Smith who qualified second.

"This means so much to me to be here," said Decker in the ARCA Release. "And to get the pole at Daytona is definitely the biggest moment of my career. I beat Johnny Sauter once at State Park Speedway, but this even beats that. My spotter talked the whole time. I told him to talk to me a lot. He told me to hold it on the yellow line and that's what I did. He sent me a big long text last night and it helped so much."

In seven previous starts, Decker had the best qualifying effort of eighth at Elko last season. Chase Purdy, making his first Daytona start, will start third followed by Max Tullman and Leilani Munter who round out the top-five.
