PPG Announces Plans to Sponsor Ryan Blaney in 2018

PPG, a global manufacturer of paints, coatings, and specialty materials will be the primary sponsor of Ryan Blaney's No. 12 Ford Fusion in the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. PPG has been a long-standing partner of Team Penske and will be the primary sponsor in six races next season beginning with Auto Club Speedway in March. 

"PPG has been a trusted and valued partner with Team Penske for over 30 years as one of our longest-tenured sponsors," said Roger Penske in the team release. "It has been exciting to see the partnership grow over the last three plus decades and we will work together as we continue to build the PPG brand through an increased presence with our team in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series."


PPG will sponsor Blaney at Auto Club Speedway, the Coca-Cola 600 in May at Charlotte, Both road course races (Sonoma and Watkins Glen), The playoff opener at Las Vegas, and the semi-final race at Phoenix.

"Penske and PPG have always had a winning tradition. Together we've shown we're a force to be reckoned with. And with Ryan on the track, we're looking to add to our joint legacy."


Blaney makes the move from Wood Brothers Racing to Team Penske in 2018. PPG moves up from the XFINITY Series to sponsor Blaney. The sponsor will continue the partnership in the Verizon IndyCar Series and Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. (Koelle,2017)
