Earnhardt Jr. and Kahne Announce Xfinity Schedule

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will continue the tradition of racing his own car each season, he will make two starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2017 behind the wheel of the #88 Chevrolet Camaro. Joining him in two races will be Kasey Kahne, who has raced a JR Motorsports Chevy at least once the last 4 seasons gaining one victory at Daytona in the July race in 2014.

Listen up JR Nation! Dale Earnhardt Jr. will pilot the #88 at the 2017 Food City 300 in August at the Bristol Motor Speedway and at Richmond in September. Dale Earnhardt Jr. gained his first victory with his own team last season at Richmond in the spring and he will look to gain another victory at the track in Richmond Virginia. 13 years ago, Dale Earnhardt Jr. went to victory lane at the Bristol Motor Speedway in the Food City 250, that year Jr. also went on to when the Night Race at Bristol. Jr. will be entered in those two races along with making his return to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at Daytona next month.

Kasey Kahne will take up two of the series superspeedway races where he will pilot the #88. Kahne will race the #88 first at the season opening race at Daytona next month where he will help guide rookie William Byron. As noted above his last and only victory with JR Motorsports came at Daytona in July of 2014. Kahne will also pilot the #88 in the sole Xfinity Series visit to the Talladega Superspeedway in May.
The All-Star car will be ran in these announced races making JR Motorsports have five entries on the track in these races. It is unknown if Alex Bowman will get any time behind the wheel of the #88 Xfinity Series car or if he will get anytime behind the wheel other than in "The Clash" next month at Daytona.
