Attempts at Winning "The Big One"

Denny Hamlin was able to tally his first Daytona 500 last season which took his name off of the list of drivers who haven't won "The Big One". There are some drivers on this list who have came so close so many times while there are others who are still relativity new to the whole Big One deal.
Some Hall of Famer's have never gone to victory lane in the Daytona 500 but many of those have made those moments in Daytona 500 history that get repeated every year. For example, 2017 NASCAR Hall Of Fame Inductee Mark Martin and Kevin Harvick's photo finish in the 2007 Daytona 500. Most of these drivers have lived, breathed, and watched the Daytona 500 their whole lives and for some it pays off at the end of a 200 lap race at the World Center of Racing when they hoist the Harley J. Earl Trophy at the end.
