Thor-Sport Racing has announced that two of it's drivers will not return to the team in 2017. One driver's future in NASCAR is possibly over while the other is searching for a ride. Rico Abreu says sponsor issues is what is keeping him from remaining with the sport and that he could return to dirt full time and run a few truck races like Eldora. The other is Cameron Hayley who could have Cabinets by Hayley follow him wherever he goes which could be Red Horse Racing, who have yet to announce a driver for the #11 entry, along with a few other teams who have yet to announce a driver for the season.
Rico Abreu joined Thor-Sport in 2016 where he piloted the #98 in a full NASCAR Camping World Truck Series campaign finishing 29th in the season opening race at Daytona following a crash. Rico would gain 2 Top-5 finishes with his best finish coming at Eldora where he finished 3rd. With Thor-Sport he also gained 5 Top-10 finishes and ultimately finished 13th in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points.

With these two drivers departing it just leaves Matt Crafton and Ben Rhodes who both could return to the team but Ben Rhodes could be looking elsewhere but it is not confirmed. It is unknown at this time who will driver the three open entries for Thor-Sport or if those three entries will even return in 2017. Drivers who come to mind on running for Thor-Sport could be anyone from Jordan Anderson, Ryan Truex, Parker Kligerman, etc. Stay tuned to The Motorsports News Source for all your latest concerning Thor-Sport Racing and The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
