Why Monster Energy Could Save NASCAR

The move to Monster could be the move that saves the sport we call NASCAR. It's a new entitlement sponsorship in which some fans are left unhappy with because It has the chance to be very different from what we have had over the last few decades. It may upset the older generation of fans but I am telling you the older fan to give it a chance.

Monster Energy has had a very large involvement in Supercross and in my experience of attending Monster Energy Supercross events I think this could be a very good thing for the sport of NASCAR. Monster's involvement with the fans in Supercross is sure to carry over into NASCAR and I think it'll be something that fans will really enjoy especially if they bring the pit party access like Monster Jam and Supercross and I think that is something NASCAR needs to do is get more in touch with it's fans.

In Monster Energy Supercross we see more interaction between the fans and drivers or riders as they are called over in that neck of the woods. What NASCAR fan doesn't want to meet their favorite NASCAR Driver and with a NASCAR Pit Party sponsored by Monster like in Supercross could give the everyday fan a chance to meet anyone of their favorite NASCAR Driver. I remember in February, if you had an empty Monster Energy Can you could go into the pit party in exchange which also helped promote recycling, which is a big part of the Green Initiative in NASCAR and it would help give the fans a reason to put their cans of Monster or Coca-Cola, etc in the recycling bin instead of in your everyday garbage can. Knocking two birds out with one stone is something I certainly think is smart and so should you.

Monster's VP of Sports Marketing Mitch Covington stated in the press conference that "We want to see the Raw emotion in the sport... We never tell our athletes what to say in an interview. We never script them." That line right there should have NASCAR fans very excited because of the amount of fans stating they don't like to see cookie cutter racing, they want to see the excitement that was once in our sport, they want to feel a connection which is something NASCAR has seemed to lose over the years. A few drivers will really fit to that mold like Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, and any of the drivers who have had anything to do with throwing fingers or punches at the other driver and if NASCAR let's Monster keep that opinion good things will happen in the sport and it will be exciting to tune in each week.
Monster will have a noticeable part in the sport and I think fans will enjoy it. I say give them two years to see if they are really what the sports needs and then in two years you can come and give me your opinion. (Koelle,2016)
