The team sold it's #15 Charter to Premium Motorsports and The Charter that was leased from Premium Motorsports for the #46 Entry has been sold to the second Furniture Row Racing and their second entry for Erik Jones in 2017 and in today's NASCAR world you're treading on thin ice without a charter in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
Clint Bowyer, who drove the teams #15 Chevrolet SS Entry, will be heading to replace Tony Stewart over at Stewart Haas Racing where Bowyer will drive the #14 Ford Fusion Entry. Michael Annett, who drove the teams #46 Chevrolet SS Entry will be heading back to the Xfinity Series where he will drive the #5 Pilot/Flying J Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports which leaves HScott Motorsports without sponsorship nor charters.

In August of 2013, Harry Scott Jr. purchased Phoenix Racing from longtime NASCAR team-owner James Finch. Justin Allgaier joined the organization 2013 where he shared the #51 with Kyle Larson (4 races), Michael McDowell (1 Race), and Ryan Truex (2 Races). The Following Season Justin Allgaier raced the #51 in all but one race where Bobby Labonte raced. In 2015 Allgaier would run a full season in the #51 gaining the team it's first Top-10 finish since Scott took ownership. Along with Allgaier, Michael Annett would run the teams second car in the 46. The team would DNQ at Talladega in October. Clint Bowyer would take over for a departing Justin Allgaier who would head to JR Motorsports. Bowyer would remain at HScott for one season with some support from Stewart Haas Racing, where he would head in 2017. Bowyer gained the team three Top-10 finishes and finish 27th in points. Annett would have another dismal season finishing 36th in points failing to gain a Top-10 finish.
HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks has won the last four NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Titles. Driving the cars are as listed, Justin Haley (2016), William Byron (2015), Ben Rhodes (2014), and Dylan Kwasniewski (2013). It's unknown on the future of that team at this time. (Koelle,2016)
