NASCAR's smallest driver Rico Abreu will be looking to get closer to a historical mark on January 14th. Abreu, who has won the Chili Bowl for the last two years, will be chasing a record set by Kevin Swindell. Kevin has the most consecutive victories in the Chili Bowl A-Main which is the stat that NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Rico Abreu will be looking to inch closer to. The list of drivers who have won the Chili Bowl A-Main include Rich Vogler, who won the inaugural one in 1987, Dave Blaney, Billy Boat, Tony Stewart. The most recent driver to win the A-Main that wasn't named Rico Abreu was the late Bryan Clauson, who won the event in 2014. With a victory on January 14th, Rico will also come one step closer to Sammy Swindell's record 5 victories in the Bowl.
Abreu will be chasing history on January 14th while a record number of entrants are on the entry list. Sammy Swindell will also be seeking his record setting 6th victory in the Chili Bowl. Drivers who have connections with NASCAR or ARCA who are entered are as listed: J.J. Yeley, Chase Briscoe, Justin Allgaier, Tanner Berryhill, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Nick Drake, A.J. Fike, Kyle Larson, Chad Boat, and Rico Abreu. (Koelle,2016)
