McDowell Running Full-Time Effort in 2017

From the days of wondering whats next to now, Michael McDowell will be running his first Full-Time effort in the Cup Series in 2017. McDowell revealed in an article with The Frontstretch that he will be the driver of the #95 in the 2017 NASCAR Season.

"The plan next year for us is to run full-time in the #95 and I'll be in it in all the races. If a second car came along, it would be only an opportunity here and there. Really, we're just focused on getting the one car funded and sured-up enough that we can keep it at the level that we are at." stated McDowell to Frontstretch Reporter Zach Catanzareti.
McDowell's team, Leavine Family Racing, secured a charter for the 2017 Season from Tommy Baldwin Racing. TBR will be ceasing Full-Time operations in the off season. McDowell will be locked into the 2017 Daytona 500 for the first time in his career. McDowell will not have to stress out in the Can-Am Duels or Daytona 500 Qualifying the Sunday before the Daytona 500.
McDowell had a career season in 2016 where the team recorded career best finishes at 16 of the 23 tracks the team raced at this season. McDowell also gained his best career points finish of 30th along with his best career average finish. In one race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, McDowell gained his first career victory in his 94th start.
Sponsors from Tommy Baldwin Racing could be heading to McDowell's #95 Chevrolet SS next season Like Nikko RC, Toy State, Accell Construction, Golden Corral, Doc 360, and APC Corp, Draft Kings. K-Love is expected to return while Thrivent Financial has told the team it will not return in 2017. Malwarebytes is also an unknown for the 2017 Season.
