In his NASCAR Xfinity Series Debut at the Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday, Alex Labbe led the charge of the Canadians and Pinty's Series regulars finishing 23rd. Labbe started the race from 33rd and worked his way up the grid as the race continued. With the guidance of Veteran Mario Gosselin on the Pit Box, Labbe was able to push his way passed some drivers and survive the chaos that ensued on the track and Labbe was even able to miss the biggest crash of the evening that involved Darrell Wallace Jr. Labbe was able to just survive and keep the #90 Can-Am/Larue Chevrolet Camaro in one piece for team owner Mario Gosselin.
It was announced that Alex Labbe will return to Go Fas Racing in 2017 in the NASCAR Pinty's Series driving for his first NASCAR Pinty's Series Championship in a full-time campaign. We may also see Alex in the NASCAR Xfinity Series more in the future. (Koelle,2016)
