Something just feels special this weekend for Blake Koch and Kaulig Racing and yes they have reason to be disappointed but then again this is one of Blake's best tracks and this weekend Blake has nothing to lose especially with his 2017 plans already being in place, Koch will go all out for his first career victory at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, his Home track also adds an extra level excitement for the 31 year old from West Palm Beach Florida native.

Koch has raced at the Homestead-Miami Speedway six times over his career with his best start and best finish coming in 2013 with RAB Racing where Blake started second and finished eleventh. Koch also made a start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Homestead way back in 2012 with Jennifer Jo Cobb where he finished 36th after having transmission issues. Along with six starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and one start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Koch's last NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start came at Homestead in 2014 where Blake drove the #32 for Go Fas Racing to a 38th place finish after being involved in a late race crash.
Homestead is the last track that Koch hasn't raced at with Kaulig Racing and I think the team saved the best for last. True, Kaulig would love to still have Blake in the Chase, but what could be a better band-aid than Blake gaining not only Kaulig's first career victory but his own first career victory in his 180th start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
