The future looks bright for the 18 year old kid from Colonial Heights, VA especially with talks of him running a full time deal in 2017. Gaulding has been racing for The Motorsports Group now in both of his career starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with an electrical issue plaguing the team in both starts.

With 2017 coming faster than we expected, Gaulding is looking to gain all he can gain with just one race remaining. Gaulding has done better than many expected he would and I think that is surely something that you can't look past. Gaulding made his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at Martinsville much to the displeasure from many fans. Gaulding qualified the #30 Feed the Children Chevrolet SS in the 37th position and a rear gear issue made Martinsville not only challenging to Gaulding but also to his hard working team over at The Motorsports Group. Gaulding still brought home a 38th place finish on the Challenging paper clip. Gaulding would make his second start at Phoenix last weekend which proved to be the test for Gaulding and Gaulding did a lot better than I think many thought he would. Gaulding didn't make any headlines but in this time of year you have to win the pole or race or just flat out wreck a chase driver and that really impressed me. Gaulding finished 37th after fuel pump issues brought them to the garage numerous times throughout the race.
This weekend Gaulding will attempt to make his 61st Overall NASCAR Start in the #30 Feed The Children Chevrolet SS. Gaulding is looking toward the future on Sunday just to gain track time and experience along with guidance from other drivers in the series. (Koelle,2016)
