The hottest driver going into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championship has to be Johnny Sauter who has won two of the last three races and almost swept the second round. Johnny Sauter has won a career best tying 3 races this season and will chase a career best fourth victory in a season on Sunday. Sauter's best finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points came in 2011 where he finished second to Austin Dillon. Sauter has finished fourth in points three straight years (2013-2015). Sauter Chases his first NCWTS Championship on Friday Night where he could add his name to a list of other veterans in the series like Mike Skinner, Ron Hornaday Jr., Jack Sprague,Greg Biffle, Bobby Hamilton Sr., Johnny Benson, Matt Crafton along with many other veterans in the sport. Crafton has gone eight full time seasons without a championship and he will look to do so on Friday Night in the Ford 200.

Matt Crafton has been dominant in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series here as late winning two straight Championships in 2013 and 2014. On Friday Night, Matt Crafton will look to tie Jack Sprague with his third NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship and get one step closer to Ron Hornaday Jr.'s record of four championships. Crafton has been consistent this season winning only two races (Dover and Charlotte). Crafton will need to either pull his 2nd straight victory at Homestead or finish ahead of the other three chase drivers. Crafton's consistency and especially luck is what got him here. Had it not been for being so late in the race at Talladega, Crafton's Engine Failure could have had him changing places with Daniel Hemric but who knows. Sauter is the only defending Champion to enter the Championship Four on Friday Night.

Many expected Kyle Busch Motorsports to have two rookie drivers in the Championship Four but an engine expiration at Phoenix ended William Byron's chance at winning the Championship. Christopher Bell will represent Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Championship Four bringing the defending Champions truck to Homestead looking to gain the #4 Toyota Camry it's second straight Championship as it won with Erik Jones last season. Bell has the consistency and victory to land him in the Championship Four. Bell won at Gateway to punch his ticket in the Chase and used consistency throughout the Chase to land him in the Championship Four. Bell looks to become the first rookie to win the championship since Erik Jones did it last season. Along with Championship Honors, Christopher Bell is looking to gain the 2016 Rookie Of The Year in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Timothy Peters

In the last two seasons, Timothy Peters has entered Homestead with 1 win in 2014 and 2 wins in 2015 but he would finish 3rd in 2014 and 5th in 2015 but that long awaited victory could come on Friday Night in the Ford 200. Peters finished second in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points way back in 2012 where he was beat by James Buescher. Peters has been in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series now for 12 seasons and looks to gain his first career Championship and looks to gain a solid ride for the 2017 Season. Peters has raced for Red Horse Racing now for eight seasons and looks to make number eight that lucky number for them and gain Red Horse Racing its first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
