This weekend in Phoenix there will be a substantial presence by Canadian drivers featuring two of the Top NASCAR Pinty's Series drivers and a driver who has raced in NASCAR for the last few years. Canada has had a presence on The Motorsports News Source this season also with it being the inaugural season of The Motorsports News Source covering the NASCAR Pinty's Series this season and when it comes to these drivers you've probably read about them here on the site. On Saturday in the Ticket Galaxy 200 it'll have all three of these drivers racing.
The first is Alex Labbe, the NASCAR Pinty's Series driver from St. Albert, Quebec. This season in the Pinty's Series Alex gained his first career victory at Autodrome Chaudiere driving for Go Fas Racing's Canadian Team. Labbe will be making his NASCAR Xfinity Series Debut and his debut behind the wheel of a NASCAR here in the States. Labbe will be driving the #90 Chevrolet Camaro for King Autosport.

The next driver raced last weekend in the Xfinity Series O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge where he finished 37th in his first Xfinity Series race since 2013. Dexter Stacy had not started a race in the Xfinity Series since Homestead in 2013. Now Stacey will drive the #70 for Derrike Cope Racing for the remainder of the season. The Kahnawake, Quebec native also raced in the NASCAR Pinty's Series where he gained 1 Top-5 and 2 Top-10's in 43 career races. Stacy is one of those drivers who I predict will be a name heard for many more years to come especially in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
The NASCAR Pinty's Series will be well represented
this weekend in Phoenix
Finally we come to DJ Kennington. DJ will not only be racing in Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series race but he will also be making his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut this weekend in the #55 Northern Provincial Pipelines Chevrolet SS for Premium Motorsports. Kennington has been a name heard throughout the ranks of NASCAR. He has 8 starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, 121 Starts in the NASCAR Pinty's Series, 5 starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and 49 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The St. Thomas, Ontario native has really made his name known in NASCAR.
With these three drivers Canada is invading NASCAR and the Top NASCAR Series and these three drivers have tons of talent. With the NASCAR Pinty's Series all but growing, we could see more drivers crossover into other divisions like the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR Whelen Modified Series, etc. and who know's NASCAR could return to Canada more than once at tracks like Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, and maybe some races at the Pinty's Series Tracks. Imagine the NASCAR Xfinity Series racing at the Road and Street Courses of Circuit ICAR and Toronto Exhibition Place or maybe make an appearance at the Kawartha Speedway. Only time Will tell how this relationship with our Canadian Family continues! (Koelle,2016)
