Are You Feeling Lucky? - Homestead-Miami Edition

It's the final Are You Feeling Lucky of the 2016 Season and it's a crucial one. Things could be rather confusing and fans could be asking if a non-chaser will take the victory or will a Chaser not only clinch a championship but another victory or their first victory of the season in some drivers cases like Timothy Peters and Justin Allgaier. These races are sure to be filled with edge of your seat action which could be a good thing. It's also the final race for entitlement sponsor Sprint and we have yet to hear an official word on the entitlement sponsor for the 2017 and beyond seasons. Monster Energy apparently has been named a leading candidate but that could change at anytime. The end of an Era on Sunday.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Pick Four

Kevin Harvick

Harvick has the best average finish of any active driver at Homestead and that could be a good thing especially with the pressure being off for Harvick. It'll be the first time Harvick enters Homestead since 2013 without a chance at winning the Championship and I think that could give Harvick a little bit more of a push to end the season on a high note in victory lane and spoil a chase drivers chances at winning the race as they did last weekend in Phoenix. Harvick has a 7th place average finish at Homestead and I think that could get better on Sunday with a good finish or a victory on the track in Homestead-Miami Florida. He could also be one of the four drivers to deliver Chevrolet's last victory from Stewart Haas Racing as the team will be moving to Ford in 2016.

Martin Truex Jr.

Martin Truex Jr. has had one of the best seasons of his career if not his best career season. But after an engine expiration at Talladega, Truex found himself on the outside looking in and faced being eliminated from the chase which he would ultimately be. Truex though hasn't let the elimination end his run for an excellent ending to a season winning the pole at Martinsville. Truex hasn't won since the first round but that won't stop him from winning on Sunday in Homestead. Out of all the active drivers, Truex Jr. has the 3rd best average finish with an 11th place average finish. I think things will get interesting for sure for the Furniture Row Racing team especially with Homestead being the final race that Furniture Row Racing is a single car team with Erik Jones joing FRR piloting the #77 Toyota Camry with sponsorship from 5-Hour Energy.

Carl Edwards

I believe Carl Edwards will be the final NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion following the race on Sunday and I mean when the odds are leveled I think you have to look at Edwards. Edwards has lost the championship in every way possible including a tie in 2011 with Tony Stewart. This season all the #19 Arris Toyota Camry team has to do is have extra flawless pit stops as they have been having in recent years along with an excellent showing by driver Carl Edwards. Homestead is one of Edwards best tracks. Edwards has an 9th place average finish at Homestead which could be good enough to win the championship if everyone else has a bad night in Miami.

Tony Stewart

Tony Stewart and Homestead are one special love hate relationship and I think this weekend could be the pinnacle of Tony's Retirement Season. True one of his drivers can't win the championship but Tony could still take the #14 Chevrolet SS to victory lane one more time at Homestead where he has won at 3 times over his career and Smoke even one the innagural NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Homestead way back in 1999. Stewart also won there in 2000 and the same season he won the Championship in 2011 where he tied with Carl Edwards for the Championship. Tony could go out with a bang and win his 50th and possibly final career victory at Homestead.

Blake Koch

In a season filled with the Unexpected Blake Koch's championship run came to an end last weekend and I don't think that'll stop the #11 Leaf Filter Gutter Protection Chevrolet Camaro from going to victory lane on Sunday. Yes I believe that Blake Koch will gain his first career victory on Saturday in Homestead. Blake has his career best start at Homestead in 2013 where Blake started second. Blake also had his best career finish at Homestead also in 2013 where Blake finished 11th. Blake has been able to beat his career best finish at every track this season and I think Homestead will be home to Koch's first victory.

Best Finishing NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Regular

Timothy Peters

I think Timothy Peters will take the Championship and victory at the Homestead-Miami Speedway on Friday Night because the guy has the recent showing at Homestead to make everyone believe he can deliver his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory at Homestead and his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championship on Sunday. True Peters hasn't been a contender for victories this season but I believe Peters can take the victory on Sunday if Byron doesn't take the victory. Timothy Peters could deliver Red Horse Racing their first Championship in the history of that program.
