It's very rare for a Cinderella story to have a storybook ending in this sport and on Saturday Night, Blake Koch and Kaulig Racing both showed that emotion and skill but the others were just a little bit faster and a little bit more lucky to and that ended the Cinderella story for Blake Koch. Blake has finished 8th place now three times not only this season but in his career and that is his best finish. Saturday Night, Koch gained that third eighth place finish but tat wasn't enough for him to move to the next round with Justin Allgaier, the driver he needed to finish better than finishing 4th. A great run at the championship ended by one race.
Though it can't be viewed as an absolute failure of a rookie season for Kaulig Racing and on Saturday Afternoon, Blake Koch returns to one of his best tracks for the first time with Kaulig Racing which has been a very good thing this season where Koch gained his best finish at majority of the tracks. Before Richmond, Homestead was Koch's best finish way back in 2013 with the late RAB Racing where he finished 11th after starting 2nd. Koch may be out of the Championship hunt but can still chase after a 5th place finish in the points along with his and Kaulig Racing's first career victory. A Homestead Preview will be up Thursday for Blake Koch and his Kaulig Racing team. The final preview of the 2016 Season. (Koelle,2016)
