McDowell Looks to Continue Consistent 2016 Season at Martinsville

McDowell returns to the Martinsville Speedway for the 12th time in his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career and for the 2nd time with Circle-Sport Leavine Family Racing. McDowell's best finish at Martinsville came earlier this year where he finished 24th. McDowell's best start came in 2012 where he started 21st. McDowell also made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Martinsville way back in 2007 driving for Darrell Waltrip where he finished 30th.
McDowell looks to add another Top-20 finish to this season and improve his average finish as the season comes to a close.
Last weekend in Talladega, McDowell finished 16th, his 8th Top-20 finish of 2016. McDowell currently has an average finish of 25th, the best in his career. McDowell looks to capture some attention heading into 2017 and with just four races to go, McDowell can improve in points. He currently sits 32nd in points.
